Germany's first fully hydrogen-powered regional rail line is now operational between Cuxhaven and Bremerhaven. The corridor uses 14 Alstom Coradia iLint trains that emit only water vapor.

The switch eliminates an estimated 4,400 tons of COβ‚‚ annually. Passengers report quieter rides and the same journey times as diesel predecessors.
